Accor

Accor is a world leading hospitality group offering experiences across more than 110 countries in 5 400 properties, 10 000 food & beverage venues, wellness facilities or flexible workspaces.

The Group has one of the industry’s most diverse hospitality ecosystems, encompassing more than 40 hotel brands from luxury to economy, as well as Lifestyle with Ennismore. Accor aims to empower every team member, guest, owner, and partner to play an active role in taking positive action in terms of business ethics & integrity, responsible tourism, sustainable development, community outreach, and diversity & inclusion. 

Accor was the first hospitality Group to set an ambitious science-based emissions reduction target: -46% absolute emissions by 2030 compared to the 2019 base year, validated by the SBTi; with an ultimate goal of Net Zero emissions by 2050. To date, 84% of hotels in the Accor network have also successfully removed 46 types of single use plastics in their guest experience.

 Accor has chosen Green Key as one of their preferred certification partners to assist them in their external eco-certification of Accor properties.  

Aurinkomatkat

Aurinkomatkat is Finland’s biggest and most trusted tour operator and a part of Finnair Group. Since 1963 Aurinkomatkat has provided package holidays from Finland to number of destinations all over the world. They want to ensure that future generations can enjoy the diversity of the world, travel, and create meaningful encounters. Thus, they are committed to fostering sustainable and responsible tourism in the long term. Aurinkomatkat actively strives to reduce the negative impacts of tourism, strengthen its positive effects in destinations, and is committed to developing and promoting sustainable tourism in collaboration with various stakeholders – by focusing on the impacts of their value chain, hotel partnerships, long-term local partnerships, and destination communities.

Aurinkomatkat partnered with Green Key in September 2022 to enhance the sustainability of their hotel portfolio, raise awareness of hotel-related sustainability challenges and opportunities both internally and externally, and encourage all Aurinkomatkat hotel partners to embark on their own sustainability initiatives.

IHG has chosen Green Key as a preferred third-party eco-certification provider in order for the IHG hotels to have an external recognition of their sustainability efforts. 

Jet2holidays

Jet2holidays – the UK’s largest tour operator - alongside airline Jet2.com, provide award winning flights and package holidays to over 65 sun, city and ski destinations from 11 UK airports. Working with over 4,000 hotel partners, Jet2holidays have a holiday for everyone. Customers can search from a range of holiday types, whether wanting to explore the world’s cities via Jet2CityBreaks, have their own space through Jet2Villas, holiday in luxury or enjoy a party getaway from the Jet2holidays Indulgent Escapes and VIBE packages.  

Jet2holidays knows holidays make amazing memories, but responsible tourism means considering the impact travel has on cultures, communities and the environment. That’s why the company launched its Jet2 Net Zero sustainability strategy which outlines key milestones to operate more sustainably. Actions taken to date include purchase of up to 146 more efficient aircraft and an investment in a new Sustainable Aviation Fuel plant. Jet2holidays have also launched a Certified Sustainable Hotel labelling scheme, so customers can easily pick hotels that are taking action to reduce their environmental impact.

In partnership with Green Key, Jet2holidays also launched a new Sustainable Hotel Charter, which encourages hotel partners to gain Green Key certification. Hotels that meet the Green Key criteria are added to the Jet2holidays Certified Sustainable Hotels collection – a new category for hotels that meet a GSTC recognised standard for sustainability.

Motel One

Motel One has made it its priority to sustainably improve the hospitality world through its business activities. No matter whether it’s through climate protection, the purchase of sustainable products, being a multi-award-winning employer or through societal commitment. For this the group has launched the ‘One Planet. One Future.’ programme which is based on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. 

With external certifications, Motel One is underlining its commitment to sustainable development and is obtaining objective confirmation that the ESG measures it has already put in place have been effective.

In July Motel One signed a cooperation agreement with Green Key to certify all Motel One Group hotels. The certifications will portray the high environmental and socio-economic standards through rigorous verifications and auditing processes.

Radisson Hotel Group actively participates in driving innovation and positive impact in the hospitality industry. Since 2010, Radisson has been an international hotel chain partner of Green Key and has committed to eco-labelling all hotels. Currently, more than 220 Rezidor hotels have been awarded with the Green Key, and Radisson has worked with Green Key to introduce the eco-label in various countries.
